| After a tiring day in Agra and a long train ride, we reached Jaipur around 10. The hotel was in quieter part of Jaipur. Without any eye contact we were shown our AC room.
The bedcover was ratty looking and I took it off to find dirty bedsheets, got them to get clean ones.
No toilet paper, no towels. Sticky dirty floor.
Next morning we went up to find the 'roof-top' restaurant. A few rusty chairs and tables and a whole lot of laundry hanging up there. No sign of restaurant or any signs of life. After a quick breakfast we checked. Asked the manager at the reception how much an auto-rickshaw cost to go to the Amber Fort, he quoted RS 150. We walked a few meters and hailed an auto who charged us RS 85, seems like the managers make their 'commission' from the unsuspecting tourists!
