| A wonderful hostel! The room was big, the staff friendly and always cleaning. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. I slept very well, and my roommates were so fun.
One critique: more tourist info in English would've been nice -- like where to catch a city tour, which buses to take to outlying sights, good places to eat, a basic neighborhood map. I went to a tourist info center in town, but they weren't very helpful either. I would've loved it if at check-in the front desk clerk could offer me some tourist info (even to buy - I would've bought it.) I had a guidebook, but it wasn't very thorough. A list to show taxi drivers of places (written in Chinese) would've been a great help.
Thanks for the great stay. (232147) | |||

| The hotel doesn't have an elevator.
The employee brings luggage to the 3rd floor and doesn't give it.
The clerk at the reception was unkind and misbehaved.

| it was right next to the lake which was very good. the room was airconditioned but i suggest you to get a seperate room if you can it is much better quality. i freak out when i get any mosquito bites i think i got several mosquito bites while i was sleeping. but its even worse when i was taking a shower. there was certain time period of hot showers. i rather took cold shower.... it was really hot. but overall it was decent hostel (190611) | |||

| We were amazed by the look and design of our room and the public areas, well maintained and designed. The location is idyllic and handy for both the West Lake and shopping streets. There's also bars and restaurants nearby. (190231) | |||

| The hostel in general was very good however we did find some of the staff a little unfriendly. The location was great and it was fantastic to be so close to the West Lake. I would suggest that perhaps they could put some lights outside in the courtyard so that people can sit out there in the evening. (180985) | |||

| The best part of the hostel is the location really close to the WEST LAKE, I can walk to the LAKE side within 2 minutes. (182515) | |||

| The backyard of the hostel is the garbage treat center of restaurant next door. It suggested to change the door to the street. (178923) | |||

| Would have appreciated it more if the staff could provide more tips or instructions on moving around the city or places to savour the local delicacies. The bar is pretty boring. (179078) | |||

| The staff are friendly and helpful, giving a lot of good information, but they are busy always. The room we stayed was a single double bed room, it's just nice for one, but squeezy for 2 of us (but still manageable).
If you are going HZ, please make sure you avoid the weekend and holiday in China, or else, you will find crowds everywhere (bear in mind, the population of China is the world's top). I spend almost 30mins buying a KFC set in the long queue!! Try to imagine what happened for the traffic and the toursist spot.
