If the frequency of the shuttle buses were higher, the accessibility of the hostel would improve very much.

the shuttle bus is limited seat. so should add more frequent when on peak season.

The scenery is splendid, but the hostel is quite torn. I wish it can be made-over or well-maintained, otherwise it's gonna be a waste.

Staff are friendly and helpful, but the facilities of this hostel should be improved as soon as possible. It is not clean in the dorm and bathroom. No 24-hour hot water. Even at office hours, the hot water is no good to use. I would sincerely suggest reinovate the complete hostel. I would like to pay more if the condition improves. But I will never go to this place again or recommend to my friends if there is no change

It is cheap considering its location, staff are friendly and helpful. But think before you book, conditions of the hostel are really poor.

I didn't end up staying at this hostel. It was very isolated and when I arrived the last shuttle bus down the mountain for the day had already left and I had no way of getting down or back up. To top it off there were no locks/keys on the doors to the dorm room and the lockers for valuable did not even fit my purse in it was so small (and therefore useless). I forfeited the amount I had paid and found accommodation elsewhere. I have always stayed in HI hostels (am currently in one in China) but this was by far the worst of the HI's I have stayed in across North America, Europe, UK and CHina. Was a little disappointed. Having said all that, the man was very helpful once I explained I wasn't too happy with the place and arranged a taxi for me.

The environment looks old and unclean. I can see the window frame and bedstead covered with dust. The female bathroom is untidy, the clean tools was in disorder.

We may hard to know a wait place for the YH shuttle bus in Sheung Wan. It is hard to distinguish a shuttle bus particularly at night. We should check the seal of YH in front of a driver's seat. In addition, departure time is very correct. ie) A price of the taxis is 60HK$ rank from Sheung Wan. There is a locker in the room of the dormitory. 　This locker have hole to put on the key,but doesn't have the key. The worried person should take a comercial key. Finally, This HI booking system is convenience. But it is not helpful to modify schedule. Several time I called to this YH and send mail to Hong Kong YHA. And booking status on HI system is not correct. If status is not available, we should contact to YH directly. In this time, one day was not available when I make booking on HI syatem, but actually it is not quite full when I stayed YH.
