A lovely hostel, great location, and close to parking. Parkschein Automat is a bit tricky for an English speaker, but another tourist helped us. The breakfast and supper at the hostel were good, plain food and greatly appreciated. Linens were nicely ironed and crisp. The hostel supplied a very useful map.

I used to like the idea of Youth Hostels. A bed and breakfast and a (shared) shower for a fair price. However the more I travel the more I realize that the main benefit of a youth hostel (the price) is not based on reality. This week I traveled with a friend through Germany and I got a really good B&B in Volkach for 25 euro and a really good hotel in Wertheim for 35. the Youth Hostels I stayed in (Rothenburg and Würzburg) were 28 and 31 euro and that is with a membership card! Otherwise I had to pay an additional supplement of 3 or 4 euro. So basically you can get a nicely decorated room, with an already made bed and an in-room shower and toilet (towels included) for the same or even a better price.

A good memory for us. A small village was comfort.

Would stay again. Had a bunch of unruly kids charging around the place but no matter as we spent most of our time in the wonderful village. We were upgraded to a twin room without issues. Thanks. Would stay again

Definitely not a youth hostel, lots of teenage kids from school groups running around. Also had roommates that didn't really know the etiquette of hostel stays. But all my issues were with guests; the hostel itself was really good, and the staff helpful. Great little place to visit as well.

Due to a train delay I was unable to get into the hostel, but was still charged for my night's stay. Hostel response: This rating is not fair. In case of delay you should inform the hostel by phone and we can arrange access by keycard-safe at the entrance of the hostel. You did not inform us right in time An beside this, nobody charged you for the night, no reason for complains.

sorry the previous comment is for the one in stein am rhein. This is the real comment card. ;] Close to the old town. Friendly and helpful staff. generally a pleasant stay. But the e-copy map from train station to the hostel is not really helping....
