I think the hostel should supply a more detailed explanation of how to find it; I had great difficulty in the dark. There is no area with easy chairs to relax in, which made it not very sociable. IThe set up means that sounds echoes everywhere, so if there are noisy guests the noise resounds throughout the building. Despite there being a 'no noise after 10pm' notice, this wasn't enforced at all. The self-catering kitchen had a large space with tables and chairs in a gloomy basement but a TINY kitchenette with one two-burner stove, no kettle, no microwave, no cooker, no cooking utensils and nothing but a few random plastic bits of cutlery and plates. While the rest of the hostel was in a good condition, this bit really really needs to be re-done. On the positive side, the hostel is efficiently run and generally clean, with good modern wash areas.

The only negative comment is tha fact that my family tryed to call to the hotel and at the reception someone said that there was nobody with that name (even after spelling it) - you have more attention to that even if the names are difficult to pronunce.

it was very noisy - I paid for 3 nites in advance and since it was very noisy, we only stayed 2 nites and we unable to get a refund, even though we advised them early. They couldn't give a refund because the money was already deposited the day before.

Did the job well for my 2 nights in Dubrovnik and is conveniently located in between the Old Town and the bus station/port, making it possible to walk to both in about 15 minutes. Things that were surprisingly lacking though (that you'd expect from most hostels) were internet access, kitchen (essential for making your pasta), and laundry facilities.

6beds in a small room and it was really hot and dark. There were a group of school kids staying and it was a real noisy through out night. Although the location is good for the price.
