Hidden charge: In the policy I had it wasn't written that you have to pay extra 2 Euro per person if you don't have their International Guest Card.

This hostel served the purpose well for a hassle free overnight stay (upon late Ryanair flight arrival) before moving on to other parts of Croatia. There aren't many alternative budget options for the backpacker in Zadar.

This hostel accommodation in comparison to the campsites is pretty bad value. The shower in our block (jarden?) is tiny, not fixed to the wall, has nowhere to hang your clothes, was rather grotty and sooooo small! The toilet and sink also really tiny and only one shared between loads of people. Very glad there weren't many people staying when we were there. Friendly staff though for sure! Definately this place needs an upgrade! Zadar is lovely though!

The Youth Hostel is not near the center city. You have to take a tram to get there. Although the trams come pretty often, it makes it slightly inconvenient. Also, the key policy at the hostel was pretty confusing. There is only one key per room even though multiple people stay in each room. I got locked out of my room one night because of this. There is also no real communal space for people to hang out.

Friendliness of the staff made Zadar the best hostel I've stayed in in Croatia.

The room was tiny and had no air conditioning, so it was boiling all night. It is located quite far away from Zadar old town, 30 mins walk. Also all night there were some people screaming and running around, right outside our room... I would have preferred to have rented a private room from one of the woman who hold signs in bus stations, they are cheap too and would probably be in better places.

Zadar is a boring city. And this hostel was full of teenangers, noisy. Breakfast was very bad with only sandwich and some nasty coffe.

Breakfast could have come with some cornflakes or something then just the butter and the childrens spreads. Lots of children there which is good for the kids but sometimes i do like a more adult hostel.

The noise during the early hours of the morning meant we slept little. I enjoyed the DJ and music put on by the hostel which menat a great atmosphere in the evenings. I enjoy a good night out but some nights you just want to sleep but being continually kept awake by loud groups coming in drunk at 3,4, 5 am in the morning was not good. A quiet rule after 12 would have been a good idea.
