A bit too far from downtown but good that tere is a bus not too far away.

Very clean and nice modern building with very friendly helpful staff in several languages. Rooms were nice for the money and with public transport so good it's only an issue being an hour's walk from grenoble after 1am.

My only complain is the location and at night there are no buses (noctbus is not every day).

I was disappointed that I couldn't rent a towel. One guy in my dorm was completely spaced out from mixing alcohol with prescription drugs (he had to be walked into the dorm by staff) and it would have been nice if he could have moved somewhere more private :-) Otherwise excellent! Lots of space, coffee machine, relaxed atmosphere, etc.

The staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast was great - more variety and better supplied than at many other French hostels I have visited. Both of the rooms I stayed in had a private shower and toilet. The free wifi didn't always get a good signal, but at least they have it. I would definitely stay there again.

Clean hostel, friendly staff, but too far away from the center of Grenoble. Also did not enjoy having fellow hostelers putting rubbish into my bunk.

We knew that the hostel was going to be far out of Grenoble, the bus service really is fantastic though. The only thing that got me was having to be out of the rooms everyday from 10am-3pm, I felt this reather unnecessary unless you wanted your room to be cleaned.

I got very late to Grenoble. Unfortunately I hadn't in forehand been checking out on the internet how to get to the hostel. Nobody in the centre of Grenoble knew about the hostel and the address of the hostel which I showed on my reservation. Luckily the French locals are sweet and helpful..and one guy phoned from his mobile phone to the hostel to get info about the route to the hostel. At the hostel the staff was very sweet and helpful too:) And the bed I got was in a double room with own bathroom! Wow..it was almost like a 2 star hotel!:) But, I guess I was lucky to be placed in that double room:) And then the room and hostel in general was clean and cosy with very nice outdoor areas...i.e. just outside the bar where you could slide open the big panorama doors. Only issue for me was the location. But, on the other hand...as soon as you know how to get there, then the location won't be a problem at all.
