This hostel is in the middle of a dark park, far enough from the main part of the city to require that you take public transit to get there. On top of that, you have to walk down a very dark alleyway to get to the gate, which is always locked. That's a good thing, unless you're a girl who is traveling alone, in which case you don't have a whole lot of desire to go home after dark. It's a good hostel, but the location is absolutely horrible. I was even nervous when my cab driver kept going into this dark, seemingly abandoned alley to drop me off the first night! So just beware of that if you decide to stay there.

maybe the other hostel is better.. breakfast awful, badly located and bed furnitures aren't good. WC could be washed a bit more.

there was a poo on the floor of the disabled toilet when i arrived and was still there the following day. No kitchen, noisy. if u cant stay anywhere else, i would still say no. shame because the city is really pretty

Hostel was very secure and well-lit on approach to its woodland setting. Although the bedroom was a little chilly (due to the uncarpeted floor) everything was spotless and the dining room was very comfortable and relaxing (there were fresh flowers too).

I was not very happy with the shower and toilet facilities. They were not very clean and I was confused that there was no place (e.g., rack) to put my belongings.

1)Co-ed bathroom reeked of urine. 2) We have stayed at other hostels (Switzerland, Germany, Quebec) where linens provided included bath towels. It would be helpful if the online reservation form stated explicitly that towels would not be provided, so that guests could come prepared.

I chose Rene Cassin for its Guest KItchen, but it was an excellent 'all rounder', a good base for young and old (like me). I want to thank them, and recommend the place for anybody. Paula (23-27.09.09)

The location is a bit far away from the city center. And not too much to do in the evening at the hostel.
