The light next to my bed didn't work, which I immediatly told the staff after my arrival. It was already evening so they told me it couldn't be fixed before the next morning, which is perfectly understandable. However, the next evening it still wasn't fixed. When I reminded the staff they immediately repaired it, but it is still a pity I had to ask twice. I realise this is only a minor issue and other than this the hostel was very good and the staff very helpful, but I wanted to mention it none the less.

Great hostel. Only bad comment I have is the window in our room that had a broken-off handle. So you couldn't open or close it normal, and because of that there was always draught.

The bathrooms were often quite dirty, and I found the showering very uncomfortable with the beam which went right into your face even if you did not want to make your hair wet. Apart from that, we did not have hot water for 1 1/2 days (but that was just unlucky, I guess). The breakfast was great, and I really liked the lounge area, though.

Very friendly staff, good location, just 2 blocks from St. Pancras/Kings Cross Station! Good value for the money paid, I would certainly stay there again!

Excelent location. Close to the St. Pancras train station and the underground. Individual bathrooms. Nice room. Just a small locker is available in the room which is not big enough for you to place the whole backpack.

Price for a twin is about the same price as other hotels in the area, for which they also TV, own shower, etc. Still prefer YHAs. Be nice to have a small self-service kitchen at the YHA although food prices look very good.

Had read other comments on this site about a lack of staff help before staying, but found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. Have stayed in a few hostels (HI ones and others) in London before and this is the best in my experience. Great location, comfortable rooms (though like others have mentioned, a bathroom renovation would be good). Good sitting areas and the prices and types of food available, good and not too expensive. Laundry good. No kitchen (which seems to be the case with a lot of city hostels these days), but since the location is in a university area, there are lots of cheap student style food close to the hostel.

I stayed 3 years ago as well and enjoyed English Breakfast very much. So this time I was excited to have it too, but the breakfast style has been changed. It was very disappointed. And the cafe on ground floor seems too small. It is OK that breakfast is not included but I would like to ask you to consider. Or was there another cafe or dining room where I could have it in the building?

I AM ANNOYED THAT THERE IS NO LONGER A SELFSERVE KITCHEN AND THAT THERE IS A LOUNGE ONLY ON IST FLOOR WHICH WAS NOT OPEN IN THE AM-IT JUST SEEMS LIKE THIS YHA HAS LOST THE SPIRIT OF YHA AND THAT THE LONDON CENTRAL YHA IS SO MUCH BETTER-SORRY

I was satisfied with the room, however is was very hot in the room even in October when the weather outside was cool. My only other issue was that the large security locker was not wide enough for my bag (which was not even full). I had to spend about 5 mins pushing and pulling to get my bag in and out. Once it was in, it was fine and there was space for my other stuff. However, location was great and perfect if you need access to the train. Building and public areas looked nice and comfortable. Overall, I think that I would try somewhere else next time I am in the city.
