Myself and my husband compliment Mr Ramadan for his friendliness and service to us. I did not appreciate the rudeness WE received from the receptionist named Jehan.

I was surprised to have such poor service and friendliness of staff, they all want the money and nothing else. I don't recommend this hostel to anybody. Avoid this place.

Terrible! The worst of all! The place is old, dirty, there are live insects inside, they clean the room every 3 days, dust is all around, toilet flush, tv and air conditioning do not work, pipes are broken, the kitchen is dirty etc. I had to move to a hotel.

I was expecting when going to a youth hostel in Cairo to face a friendly service and maybe meet other travellers, but it seemed to me that this hostel was full of locals, I was the only tourist. It's a very dust place, although my room was a private and reasonable one. It was Ramadan and they didn't serve me breakfast in the morning (I had paid for it), they told me my only option was before sleeping receiving from the kitchen staff a bag with 2 eggs, 1 cucumber, 2 pieces of bread and tea - that was my breakfast for the next mornings. The only good aspect of this place is its location - in front of the Nile, but I don't really recommend it, at least it helped me to spend most of my time out of the hostel, going there only to sleep. I had everything to ruin my 3 days in Cairo but with a positive attitude my time in this fabulous city was unforgettable.

The location of the hostel is wonderful. That's the best location for a tourist to stay in Cairo. The staff of the hostel were also very friendly. But the break fast was not good. The breakfast should be improved a lot. Also the cleanliness of the hostel was not up to the mark.
