I love the Edmonton Hostel. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful.

Only one thing but important: the first night there was a bus of young people from Vancouver and they partied till 2:00 am....and that was tough, could not sleep.......most people seemed incommodated as we are there to go trekking and we need our sleep. Everything else was excellent I will recommend it to all my friends.

Our apologies for the people, who partied late that night. We do have a Quiet Time rule from 11 p.m. - 7 a.m. If you are being disturbed by noise, please let our front desk staff know and they will attend to the matter.

can you have luggage storage so that customers need not carry their luggages all the way up?

If you are traveling with a lot of luggage, we do have a free luggage storage room in our lower level. This room is for excess baggage or day storage - if you arrive before check-in or have checked out and are waiting for your bus, flight, etc. I"m sorry there was miscommunication about having extra storage space.

my room w113 was too hot. is under this room the generator for the hostel? i had to sleep with open window with 20° below zero! and with this open window i felt unsafe. however, the location was good.

Suspect I was bitten by bed bugs or something similar during my stay there. Could feel something biting me and it has been a week now since my stay there and they still haven't quite healed. It would be interesting to know if anyone else has had a similar complaint.

** Why limit the lengh of the comments ?? ** Somebody is stubburn at the hostel and is refusing to open the path that hostellers are trying to make on the grass in the front of the hostel. It makes so much sense to use it as it is convenient when we are coming from White Avenue especially when it is very cold outside. ** Should have cameras into the kitchen and kick out people that are stealing food. ** Bathroom on the first floor by the office is often very dirty.... floor disgusting under the sink as well. ** I wish there were tours organized such as going to see the lights at Hawelark Park, Christmas decorations of people's house like the ones close to 149 St and Stoney Plain, bird sanctuary, Devonian gardens, etc... Please mention that to the tourism office... Thank you !

Hello, I"m must admit that I am the stubborn person at the hostel who is covering the path. The reason I am doing this is because it is not actually a path. There is a small bush growing underneath that keeps getting trampled. Sorry for the inconvenience but in the meantime we are going to keep that area closed to foot traffic. The rest of your ideas and suggestions were very informative and I will certainly put some thought towards little changes around the hostel. Thanks for the feedback! Ryan, Manager
