Computer to use internet for free would be great. A jam and a tea for breakfast would also be nice.

We thought it a bit odd when we asked reception book a taxi we had to wait at 20 minutes for the "regular driver" to arrive. We were told it would cost $100 re by reception, which we thought was steep. When the driver did arrive, money exchanged hands between driver and reception. What was more odd was the tariff on the meter was showing the tariff that should have been the evening tariff. The driver even stopped to re-fuel and didn't turn the meter off. Having been in central/south America, this driver would have to have been the slowest driver we have ever experienced - driving 60 in an 80 km zone. We're we ripped? Probably but we don't speak Portuguese and he didn't speak English so it was a bit difficult to dispute.

We were there in August, so maybe in high-season things are different. Staff is friendly, but only half of the people spoke English. The place seems clean, but it has some humidity smell, not a big deal. Breakfast it's fair. At the beginning we thought the location wasn't good because it seems pretty far from the center and Pelourinho, instead we discovered it is really good: there's a bus stop (shopping Barra) pretty near where you can take bus for everywhere. 15 minutes and you are in Pelourinho, 10 minutes and you are in Rio Vermehio (good place to party during the night, very local), 15 minutes walking and you are on Barra seafront, 40 minutes of bus and you are at the airport.
