pas forcement une bonne idee d'avoir toilettes, douche et lavabo dans la chambre. le matin c'est le défilé à tour de rôle, bruyant, si on veut dormir après 6h c'est pas facile !

Hallo, Het ontbijt was verrassend goed! Hygiëne van de douche kon beter. De dekbedden waren fris en zuiver en kussens waren ook netter dan elders.

The youth hostel is very nice. The only negative point is the shortage of sockets in the bedrooms.

Need to have more information on the Belgium Grand Prix as no-one was able to help us with the travel to the circuit or parking once we got there.

l'auberge est bien mais austère ; les parties communes au rez de chaussée sont bien mais aux étages les murs sont en parpaing et ça fait franchement prison avec les lits superposés. La douche n'est séparée de la chambre que par un rideau. Sinon le staff est gentil (ils essaieront de vous vendre Liège...) et arrangeant. Le petit déj très bon (Nutella bio ! comme le reste)

Le bloc de béton est à la fois un élément de notre patrimoine culturel régional, et un fleuron de notre industrie. Notre sol est riche en carrières de pierres avec lesquelles il est aisé de produire les agrégats pour les bétons. A c titre, l’auberge est l’expression d’un grand savoir faire régional et fait partie du patrimoine technique et culturel de la région liégeoise. Elle a été reprise dans plusieurs guides d’architecture contemporaine et nominée au “prix de l’urbanisme de la Ville de Liège”. Merci d’apprécier ce matériau à sa juste valeur car le bloc béton apparent a marqué toute une génération de créateurs et d’artisans de notre région.

This was a nice hostel, except that I was unable to sleep due to poor ventilation in the room. I was staying on the 4th floor, in one of the two-level rooms under the slope of the roof (room 402, I think). The lower half of the room was well ventilated, but the top part was very hot and humid. There was a skylight window in the roof, but this window would not open, so the sunlight caused the room to heat up like a greenhouse during the day. By the end of the night, my sheets were soaked with sweat. The weather outside was not particularly hot, so a small amount of ventilation could have prevented this problem. Also, there was a bad odour from the drain in the shower.
