The second time we visited this "Gästehaus" and it was really fantastic. Nice staff, good beds.

Overall this is a good place to stay.The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. And it was good value for money. The location is about 3km outside Ruette. When we first arrived at the railway station it was 9pm there was no buses or taxis around so we ended up walking to the hostel. The map location on the site is a little off as the actual location of the hostel is on the main road. The map seems to indicate it is on the a side road.There are a number of restaurants in Reutte that are fine. If you are depending on buses the last bus into Reutte is at 7.24pm you either walk back or get a taxi if you can find one.

It was raining when we arrived, and despite asking, we were not told of a door we could use giving direct access to the car park (to get our luggage in). The hot water took 10 minutes to run hot. (A downstairs room at the end of the corridor from the reception desk). We were not warned about this, nor did the man apologise about the problem when we asked. There was dinner available, but we were not told about it when we arrived, and by the time we asked it was too late to have it. There was a lot of information provided in the room. None of it was in English. I appreciate this is not essential, but I think it is the only place I stayed where this was not done. As far as I could determine, none of the provided information mentioned dinner. We were left with the impression that the man had something against Eglish speakers! (His wife and mother seemed OK)
