A big hostel with a great swimmingpool and lobby in a good location, but quite poor staff and security. I'd recommend to stay there for a short time if you have lower aspirations. You'll meet people from all over the world like in other hostels and thats what it makes unique in the huge, expensive city Dubai. Antwort des Hostels: Thank you for your comments and feedback. Bathroom had bare electric wires showing, hole in ceiling, slippery floor. Bedroom walls stained, no lockable storage, no bedlights. Breakfast good and waiter very pleasant and helpful. Gut: Nettes Personal, gemütliche Betten, gute Metroanbindung. Schlecht: Wenn man nicht mit Kreditkarte bezahlen kann, sollte zumindest stets genug Wechselgeld da sein. Ich war nur zwei Nächte in Dubai und habe meine 40 Dirham so spät zurückbekommen, dass ich sie direkt am Flughafen wieder eintauschen musste. Das hat sich nicht besonders gelohnt! Außerdem: morgens nur kaltes Wasser aus der Dusche. Und: Kein Wifi, nur Internet über eine wackelige LAN-Kabelverbindung. Antwort des Hostels: Thank you for your comments and feedback. The manager check everyone in the reception in those two days of you but they found there is no any change or balance left for you. All heaters is separate units for each room if you need switch on at least 30 minutes before taking showing.

The hostel is not in or near the tourist places, but it is close to the subway and to a bus stop, so the time to go to the tourist sights is okay. You get your passport back while you leave your key, but passports are not stored in a safe and one time the reception was unstaffed. I had no problems with noise and had a good sleep every night. The dorm was big enough for 4 people and the beds were normal beds, not bunkbeds, which is a plus. It's als good that the bathroom is in the dorm. But because the shower had no curtain, the bathroom changed into a swimming pool all the time. The staff in general was friendly, definitely not rude as some suggest. The breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs or cereal and bread with butter, cheese and jam. Cleanliness is in general ok. Could have been better here and there, but not dirty. Using the (old) computers costs 5 dirham per hour. Internet was usually fast, but sometimes there was no internet. Really thank you for the good feeling which reflecting a mature and good person because you was very nice man you mentioned a lot of points, I myself got a good experience out of those points, which will help our hostels to do a lot of developments. Few people like you make our life easy and successful, we really appreciate your comments and points and willing to see you soon to see the development is taking place. We would like to clarify some points with you which are very important to any tourist: 1. Location – is closed to the airport (5 minutes walking) to terminal 2 from our hostel and just 100 meters walk to metro station and 20 meters to bus stop which taking you anywhere in Dubai. 2. Keeping the passport is according to our policies and in the meantime it’s safe to all our guest (Reception desk is only for reception staff and supervisor).

Leider gibt es was Jugendherbergen angeht keine Alternative in Duabi und dieser Mangel an Konkurrenz wirkt sich entsprechend auf Service, Sauberkeit und Komfort aus. -Am Schalter penetrant sein, sonst werdet ihr ignoriert. -Nehmt einen Schlafsack mit, denn als Decken gibt es nur alte ungewaschene Wolldecken. -Schloss mitnehmen, sonst könnt ihr eure Sachen nicht wegsperren. -Der Reisepass muss an der Rezeption hinterlegt werden für den Schlüssel. Denkt daran, dass für einige Attraktionen (v.a. Burj Khalifa) der Ausweis notwendig ist um reinzukommen. -Das Frühstück ist sehr mäßig. Fazit: Für eine Jugendherberge dieser Preisklasse ist die Qualität eigentlich eine Frechheit, aber da die günstigsten Hotels trotzdem mindestens den Faktor 2 teurer sind, kommt man als Bagpacker meist trotzdem nicht drumherum. Jeder der ein bisschen mehr Geld für den Urlaub übrig hat, sollte sich aber dringend nach einer anderen Möglichkeit umschauen. Antwort des Hostels: Thank you for receiving your feedback and comments. Staff could have been a little more friendly but Room service was great; new sheets and towel every day. Free breakfast in the morning was good ( eggs or bowl of cereal with bread ) Antwort des Hostels: Thank you for your comment.

No Youth Hostel in UAE recognises the HI membership card hence no discount (of 10%) given. Rates for direct booking with them is much less ($25 or AED 95)per day as compared to booking online. Hostels at Fujairah and Sharjah do not provide towels or soap. Antwort des Hostels: Thank you for your comments. This sign board rate is available for around 1 or 2 rooms everyday once is occupied is not applicable the rest of the day (Lucky hour) even in your case is given you a discounted rate. This Fujairah and Sharjah Hostels are very cheap.
