Twin rooms above atrium disappointing - smelly and airless. On the Saturday night there was a lot of drunken yelling coming from somewhere close by, then, later on there were loud drunken males in the corridor trying to get into our room.

I'm not such an outgoing person so I felt a little bit left off in YHA Wellington, where many large groups interacted. Nevertheless, its an excellent hostel in the best location possible, and the staff is very professional.

Rugby was on that night and there was plenty of noise from some residence that went on most of the night. On the out side the police and other services kept up a steady racket on thier sirens so none of us got much sleep. We did enjoy our hoilday and your is a good place to stay.

There was no hot water for the first 4 hours after check. We were due to spend 2 nights but cancelled the second night and moved to another hostel.
