Basic facility like hot water for bath not available. Never available in my last few stays. Staff does not take responsibility and very arrogant at times. Canteen facility could improve.

Very inconvenient location in a ritzy neighborhood. No stores or shops nearby. If you walk about a block to the next roundabout you can catch Bus 620 or 604 (3 rupees) to the end of the Yellow Metro. Evening meal was very good and good value for 50 or 75 rupees. Breakfast was iffy. Two of three days the banana was badly bruised. Ask for an omlet to replace some of the toast. One day the breakfast was a very good Indian breakfast for some; I never figured out the pattern if there was one. There usually are large groups of Indians at the hostel. I had no problems with the reservation, arriving at 0100. Staff was friendly and helpful, although I did meet the rude one who doesn't speak English very well.

I am disappointed to write this review. I landed up at 11.30 pm and they would not accept a credit card and insisted on cash. When I showed them your mail, they refused to acknowledge it. I had to go out at 12 midnight searching for a hotel room and it was literally a nightmare. Please make sure your affiliates honor teh commitment you make. Otherwise, they will end up tarnishing teh excellent reputation that HI has. I've stayed earlier in some of your hostels in Boston, Washington DC and have had an excellent experience. I DID NOT stay in Delhi hostel even for one night. If it is possible, please refund the amount. This is feedback only on this hostel. Otherwise, I've had a great experience with HI Chendil Kumar

Our reservation was cancelled the day we got to delhi because the staff had double booked, leaving us stranded in delhi with no where to stay due to the festival season. We had to pay for a flight to Kashmir due to the high prices in delhi

When asking a question to the night receptionist he rudely ignored me on more that one occasion, on leaving and handing over the key he would not even acknowledge my existence, he was arrogant and i was made to feel extremely unwelcome! thought the receptionist who i was checked in by was friendly,helpful and polite. Also the tours that the hostel offers were not honest in the information provided and teh group i was with were extremely dissatisfied with the tour and the fact that the hostel receptionist had recommended it!

Absolutely a terrible, terrible hostel. Have never stayed at such a terrible HI hostel. Reception staff - all of them incredibly rude. Wouldn't show me where the bus stop is, nor the Metro. Rude in manner of speaking, and you call it 'customer service'. Would it be so difficult to include some toilet paper in the toilets? The breakfast is so terrible, you may as well not include it. The front door of the hostel is open at all times, there are indian locals coming in and out of the hostel. I was stared at all the time by the locals at breakfast and could not even go to my room because one of the locals wanted to ask me 'about my country' - even knocking for 5 mins at my room. I booked the hostel because it said there would be internet. Internet wasn't working. For that price I later got a hotel, with private room on the Main Bazaar just minutes from the N.D. Station and Metro. Absolutely terrible hostel.
