Sehr nette Jugendherberge mit schönem Familienzimmer. Leider ohne Fenster, so dass die Luft im Laufe der Nacht stickig wird. Idyllischer Innenhof mit Bänken, um im Freien zu Essen.

The hostel is located quite a bit out of town, which would be tricky if you're without means of transportation. The room was okay, but the window couldn't be opened. In summer, in a room for six people, that is completely unacceptable! We had to leave the door into the garden open to get some fresh air, which isn't great by security standards. The staff was friendly, but is not available for large parts of the day, so checking in is only possible in the evening. There's also no place to drop off the luggage to spend the time until the hostel opens to explore the town. Breakfast was okay by French standards, and the price was really good.

Die Lage der Herberge in Loire Nähe ist sehr schön, ebenso das alte Anwesen mit seinem schönen Innenhof, wo man bei gutem Wetter prima sitzen und spielen kann. Das Familienzimmer mit Bad war gut, das 5 Bettzimmer ohne eigenes Bad war sehr laut und die sanitären Einrichtungen einfach.

Gute Küche, schönes Areal mit Tischen im Freien. Leider was das Geschirr katastrophal schmutzig. Handtücher, Schwamm fehlte. Man musste Geschirr und Pfannen Mikrowelle zuerst gründlich reinigen. Es gibt zwar gutgemeinte Schilder in der Küche, aber es braucht mehr Aufmerksamkeit der Leitung. Auf dem schönen Areal gab es leider zuviel Abfall am Boden. Auch da sollte die Leitung aufmerksamer sein. Messer, Gabeln und Löffel alles in einer Kiste. kleine Löffel fehlten völlig. Mit wenig Aufwand könnte in der Küche vieles verbessert werden.

Die Jugendherberge bietet eine freundliche und tolerante Stimmung. Das Gebäude ist allerdings sehr sanierungsbedürftig, besonders die sanitären Anlagen.

The shower temperature was tepid and the room was freezing (the temperature outside was near zero). The heat was not turned on, despite my request.

What I liked most about this beautiful hostel in Beagency was the peace and quite of its surroundings and the hostel itself. :) I would recommend to rent a bike either in Blois or even in Beaugency to move around and arrive sooner to the hostel at night, because it's a bit far from the town. Bikes are accepted in almost every train (ter, Corail...) so it's really convenient and worthy to have a bike.
