We had an excellent stay at Annecy HI Hostel. Good breakfast and short work to the town and lake. Beautiful views. We stayed in April so not many people were staying - I think it would be cramped in high season - kitchen and rooms quite small Antwort des Hostels: Hi Sarah, thank you for your comments, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us in Annecy. In the summer seasons you're right there are a lot more people, but we find that this makes for an even better atmosphere between people. Our hostel is a great place to make friends! My pillow was very uncomfortable, when I asked for a replacement I was told there were none spare. I have stayed in a lot of hostels in France recently, I have found the price really varies, some free and others charge between 1 and 3 euros for 2 hours. Hostels I have stayed in are Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, Chamonix, Annecy, Nimes, Montpellier. Antwort des Hostels: Hi Charlotte, We're very sorry you didn't find the pillow to be comfortable, we try to make our clients feel as at home as possible, however unfortunately we are waiting on a delivery of pillows and it's for that reason that we didn't have any spare ones to offer you. There were a lot of times when no one was at the desk to help me answer questions, or there was only one person working and a long line of people waiting to check in/out. This makes the process nerve wracking, especially if you have to catch a train. Antwort des Hostels: Hi Sarah, thank you for your comments. we are sorry for your worries about missing the train, on the odd occasion we have days where we are very busy and we're sorry that you fell on a particular day where there weren't as many staff able to work at the desk. If you choose to visit us again and you have worries about your transport, you can let us know and we can try to serve you as quickly as possible. In any case we have taken note of your comments and we shall put them to future use. The o only problema is that the wi-fi only works in the lobby ... But I had a great time, staff is really friendly! Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und bemüht es uns Recht zu machen! Sogar das Frühstücksbuffet, zu dem wir eigentlich zu spät kamen, haben sie für uns noch ein wenig länger stehen lassen! Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und auch die Waschräume! Ich habe schon in vielen Hostels übernachtet, aber selten in solchen, in denen ich mich so wohl gefühlt habe! Ich empfehle es definitiv weiter! :)
