| The boys at front desk were cute and sweet. Their smiles made my day. Also a plus: the kitchen is super-well-organized and clean; nice to have filtered drinking water. | ||

| We stayed at 3 hostels over the past week and Montara was easily the best on all dimensions. I rate it only fair for value, as we were traveling as a family and our room cost about what a decent (not luxury) hotel room might cost -- it clearly wasn't the budget option a hostel ought to be. I like the spartan, community feel of hostels but it does seem a little steep.... | ||

| this is one of the prettiest hostels ever. it's a bit inconvenient if you don't have a car, but definitely doable. stay here if you're in northern cal. you won't regret it. | ||

| I would give staff a higher rating if there was one. They are great. Also really liked the 'green' ethos of the hostel. Fabulous location and it is possible to get there by public transport with a little effort, which is a bonus. One of my favourite hostels of all time. | ||
