Me encanto!Eso si, es super sencillo pero cuenta con todas las comodidades, es limpio y lo mas importante el personal siempre esta dispuesto a ayudarte con una sonrisa en la cara. El hecho de qye sea chico promueve la cpnvivencia entre las personas.

Faltam tomadas nos quartos - nessa era de tecnologia em que vivemos, todos temos celulares e pilhas recarregáveis de máquina fotográfica, por exemplo, e no quarto só havia duas tomadas de total dificil uso (uma quase no teto e outra embaixo de um beliche -- quem não estava nessas duas camas, não tinha como usar as tomadas no quarto). Somente na minha terceira noite que percebi que o ar condicionado estava quase sempre ligado apesar da janela sempre aberta. Acredito que é válido colocar cartazes de concientização às pessoas, que se o ar está ligado, se mantenha o vidro da janela fechado, ou então, se desligue o ar. Infelizmente o barulho da avenida é grande nos quartos durante toda a noite. Poderia ser interessante o albergue pensar em investir em janelas especiais anti-ruído nos quartos. Parabenizo a equipe - todos simpáticos e prestativos. Parabenizo a limpeza de todo albergue - quartos, banheiro, cozinha.

Everything is good. The location is good. The staff are nice. The atmosphere is good. The hostel is clean. The only thing that sucked is the temperature of the showers, which is hard to control.

La ubicación no es mala pero es bastante ruidosa, está al lado de una avenida muy transitada. El staff es muy amable y el lugar muy limpio.

DANGEROUS PLACE TO STAY- HOSTEL WAS ROBBED BY 4 GUNMAN WHEN WE STAYED THERE! 29 of December 2012 the lockers where next to the entrance and 4 gunman came at night and cut the locks to the lockers and took all the belongings of everyone..the management told us to lock up our belogings, and gave us locks...i guess this is an ongoing problem at the hostel, the cameras where removed as management claimed that they where SWITCHING companies however from the stains in the ceiling say that the cameras where gone for a LONG time..not nothing new... Right next to the tunnel so the thieves could escape easily!!

Some points of the review should be clarified:

Unfortunately Rio de Janeiro is not a safe city and assaults can happen anywhere. Our commitment to customers is always speak the truth and we do not have to lie about it. Even if we worked with armed guards, a reaction would not be recommended against 4 armed men. No guest was injured during the robbery, and we had only material loss for FEW guests.
The thieves took advantage of the exit of some guests to enter the hostel, and not all but only 7 guests had belongings stolen. And not all lockers were broken because the action took place on the first floor only and only lasted about 15 minutes.
Even Mr. Maurice and his wife not had ANY belongs stolen and only heard about the incident in the next morning.
In relation to our security : Our hostel works for 6 years, and we never had any others security problems. Not only we stay next to a tunnel, we also stay 200 meters from a police station. Since we opened we use surveillance system. We were switching company just to have an even better service. The period that we ran without the cameras was December 18 to January 2. Period between cancellation of the old company contract and the validation with the new company, which was extended due to the year-end holidays.

The Rio Rockers is a small hostel, and we treat our guests like family. Guests were here that day know how we took the best possible care whith who was robbed. NOT EVEN ONE guest wanted to leave, even when was offered to return all the money back from the new years package.

We believe this occurred because of a problem of public security of the city, and we have the reviews of our guests as a guarantee of our hostel honesty. And now are working even more to make the stay of our guests the best possible.
