Welcome to BEACH HOSTEL EKLATA and get ready to relax and enjoy the most modern and luxurious hostel in all of Croatia! This newly opened and fully equipped resort is situated only a few meters from the crystal clear Adriatic Sea in the charming bay of Zaostrog along the magnificent Makarska Riviera. Sleep by the sounds and smells of the sea in one of our 33 rooms each equipped with 2-8 beds, mini-bar fridge, LCD/SAT TVs and AC/Heat. Dine in and enjoy our A/C cooled and heated restaurant/event room - bar, music, light show, projector and big plasma TVs. A beautiful restaurant terrace with cafe bar offers all the beverages and of course sweets and ice cream. During the day release stress or just have some fun on our multi-purpose sports court by playing a competitive of friendly game of football, volleyball, basketball or handball. After dark let off some steam by dancing or singing the night away to music, karaoke and light show. If you forgot something from home, you won't have to go far from your room to find whatever you might be looking for in our own mini-market. The hostel is surrounded by Mediterranean landscaping, green lawns and olive groves. Our hostel and its amenities are perfect for all age groups, especially children and youth groups, families, seniors, sports clubs and backpackers in addition to all individual guests.

Directions

Bus:	Zaostrog is a small coastal town and is located approximately halfway between big tourist centers and major cities Split and Dubrovnik. Zaostrog is 30 km south of the city of Makarska and 25 km north of the city of Ploče. Hostel Eklata is located right in the center of Zaostrog alongside the main beach. To reach Zaostrog take the main and only road that goes between cities Split and Dubrovnik and you will see the entrance to the town of Zaostrog. As you enter Zaostrog continue straight on the main and only road down to the sea front and the center of Zaostrog. Make a left and continue alongside the main beach for about three hundred meters and Hostel Eklata will be on your left. Before you arrive to the hostel you will pass by the Franciscan Monastery and museum of St. Mary.
Metro:	You can arrive by metro to city of Ploče, 30 km away from Hostel Eklata. From Ploče you cann arrive to Zaostrog by bus.
Parking:	Within the hostel properties there is a small free parking lot. Usually there is always parking spots available however we cannot guarantee a parking spot.
Location:	The beautiful bay of ZAOSTROG is a very popular tourist destination primarily because of the beautiful pebble stone and sand beaches shadowed by rows of pine and olive trees. The Franciscan monastery of St.Marija in Zaostrog is the most famous cultural and religious center of the Makarska Riviera. The ideal location of Zaostrog, right in between Split and Dubrovnik gives you quick and easy access to many famous trip destinations - Split, Dubrovnik, the heavenly islands of Hvar,Brač, Pelješac and Korčula,Neretva River,and the city of Makarska. In the other words,Hostel Eklata offers you everything that you need and desire for an entertaining, relaxing, and unforgettable vacation on the Dalmatian Coast! Unsatisfactory rule about consuming food bought on site ONLY.!!! Hostel costs were higher then surrounding area. Hostel response: The guest brought their own food and drinks to the hostel restaurant. They were politely asked to take their own food and use areas outside of restaurant provided for this purpose. There are two separate areas for this. We are very surprise the guest would have a hard time understanding that they cannot bring own food and drinks TO THE HOSTEL RESTAURANT.
