we were there off season so there was only one other group staying at the hostel. The reception/bar man was exceptionally helpful in recommending local attractions and places to eat. The bar are looked really good and had a relaxed atmosphere

far too much noise from the party/bar area. Was like a city centre theme bar in party mode. this is not conducive with travel cycling as we and others were doing. people came into bed past midnight drunk, and then got up in the night due to excess consumption, this was not good. we then got up early and ended up waking them with their excessive headaches. hostels cannot do everything i know but this one stretches the boundaries too much. will not stay again which is a shame as its good otherwise. :(

I was nicely surprised by this hostel. We did book it at the last minute and we didn't expect much. The staff was very friendly and helpful and location (on the hill) of the hostel allow you to get down to the Loch Ness after a short walk.

Only stayed one night - private ensuite twin share - and would certainly recommend to anyone else.

My two complaints/concerns with this hostel was that my pillow had what appeared to be blood on it, which was not a nice discovery and, even though i have never rolled out of bed, i found the lack of a saftey rail on the top bunk unnerving. There was also a lot of outside noise overnight but that was probably due to the tour group staying there and not a factor controlable by the staff, who were all very friendly and approachable.

Littel and messy kitchen. Dine in town.
