A great setting, beautiful countryside and excellent bus links to Comrie and Crieff. A well equipped hostel with a good kitchen and communal areas. Free wi- fi.

I thought the "breakfast" icon on the website meant breakfast was included in the price - but at least we got some breakfast at the tea garden. Might be better to announce that more clearly? I know it's not really deep in the highlands but I'd feel safer if there was some place to leave a note of where people are going for walks and when they expect to be back at the hostel.

i had a bad experience after being placed in with a family who drank and fought the whole time during my over night stay. the male was arrested after police were calle. during this time no one from the hostel staff came to check if both me and my grandaughter were okay. we had been locked in our room for 2 hours due to the coupl efighting both physically and verbally. the comrie croft is beautiful and a fantastic location. i believe my experience was a one off and unfortunately for me happened at the time of my stay. the satff i met were very nice but failed to ensure mine and my grandaughters saftey whilst we were there. the family sharing the converted barn monoploised the kitchen and the sitting room which was filthy during their stay. however, i would visit again and i would recommend the comrie croft to friends and relatives.

Only an overnighter but made a big impression. Somewhere I'll definately return to if I'm back in the area

A small shop would be useful. Most Youth Hostels seem to have one; I had some food, but only got a decent cup of coffee due to another resident's kindness in giving me milk!

I came by bike and after riding 90 miles to get there it would have been nice if there was some sort of meal available instead of having to go into town. No lockers/security for belongings.
