The quays still teem with yachts and fishing boats in the port of Wells, where you'll find this newly-opened hostel in the heart of the town. It's a fine base from which to indulge in flora and fauna forays into the surrounding countryside. Follow creeks and salt marshes busy with birdlife, enjoy miles of empty beaches or take a boat at high tide to see seals. Explore the network of footpaths leading inland and you'll discover ancient churches, flint villages and welcoming pubs. For the fit, the North Norfolk Coast Path is temptingly close.

| The best hostel I have ever stayed in. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is a lounge with a TV and you can even borrow DVDs. Highly recommended. | ||

| I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this hostel. The staff were very helpful in the pre-booking and adjustment of my reservation, the hostel was clean, and had quite a good ratio of bathrooms for the number of dorm rooms. The self-catering kitchen was fully equipped, and the hostel is centrally located in a charming seaside town. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for an inexpensive base for sightseeing on the North Norfolk coast. | ||
