Weinheim lies in the Bergstraße region, an important wine and fruit growing area on the edge of a large conurbation including Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and Heidelberg. The Odenwald mountain range with its fantastic hiking trails is right on our doorstep. Attractions in Weinheim include the old town with its picturesque market square and historic town hall as well as the renaissance castle with its beautiful park and the adjacent Exotenwald arboretum. Overlooking the town are Wachenburg Castle and the ruins of Windeck Castle.
The Youth Hostel is located in Weinheim Leisure Centre close the town centre.
Weinheim youth hostel is particularly well equipped for the needs of families, schools and other groups. We have 129 beds in 3- and 4-bedded rooms, four common rooms and a teachers’ lounge.

Directions
| Bus: | From Mannheim or Heidelberg take Stadtbahn train 5 to Stahlbad stop. From there walk along Kirschstraße to Breslauer Straße. From there you can see the youth hostel (5 min walk). |
| Parking: | Free parking at the hostel. |
| Location: | Coming from A6 or A659, at Weinheim motorway junction go towards Weinheim and take the first road on your right. Then follow signs towards the youth hostel (house and tree logo) and Rolf-Engelbrecht-Haus. |
| Rail: | Weinheim railway station, 2 km. Stadtbahn stop Luisenstraße is close to the railway station. Take train 5 (direction Mannheim) and get off at Stahlbad stop. From there walk along Kirschstraße to Breslauer Straße. From there you can see the youth hostel (5 min walk). Alternatively, from Bahnhofstraße stop take bus 634 (direction Weststadt) or bus 635 (direction Waid/Ofling) and get off at Stahlbad stop and then walk to the hostel (see above). |
