Waren is the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District, surrounded by many more highlights. To the south you’ll find Lake Müritz, the largest lake entirely on German territory, ideal for swimming, water sports and boat trips. Müritz National Park, located to the east, is great for cycling. Here you can find endangered species such as sea eagles, ospreys and cranes. | Opening times (daily/weekly): | Sellin is situated on the south-eastern resort coast of Rügen Island. The youth hostel is located in town by the coastal forest. For swimming, surfing and water sports you’ll find the sea 500m to the east and Lake Sellin in the opposite direction. At Mönchgut peninsula in the very south of the island there are several lookouts. The Baltic resort of Binz, Prora, Jasmund National Park, Cape Arkona, Putbus, Hiddensee and Stralsund are worth a visit too. By telephone daily 08.00-22.00 hrs. Reception 08.00-22.00 hrs. Main entrance 07.30-22:00 hrs. The hostel’s main entrance is locked 22.00-07.30 hrs, but your room key fits this door too and you’re free to come and go as you wish. |
