Located in the district of Terras de Bouro, the village of Vilarinho das Furnas is where you'll find one of the most charismatic Youth Hostels in Portugal. A lot of people come to stay at this hostel, given its privileged location, in the very heart of the nature reserve of Peneda-Gerês. People who come to Vilarinho are sure to find what they're looking for - a deep, harmonious relationship with nature. Adventure tourism has come to stay and to stop the region becoming depopulated. Here you can practise canoeing and mountain biking, among many other sports that demand intense physical effort. When you go hiking through the park, you'll come across species of plants and animals that are unique in the world.At the end of the day, get your strength back with a plate of the local cabbage and beans.
