Built on the white sand of this beach and closer to the sea than any other hotel in Varadero, it is famous for its peculiar horseshoe shape opened to the coastal area, like a huge balcony overlooking the vast stretches of the beach, with a variety of amenities and all the possibilities of practicing nautical sports.

Customer Reviews Varadero - Hotel Herradura

| Breakfast was included and it was very good, the Hotel Foyer very good, the room, well, remember, this is a ** Hotel, so, you can't expect too much but, it would be nice if they cleaned the windows at least once a year, so, you can look out of them and repair the balcony so it can be utilized. | ||

| We actually ended up going back to Hotel Herradura and they gave us the same deal as when we booked through HI Hostels. The staff are really great there, the location is fantastic away form the Big tourist area, it's close to the bus, easy to get a cab and the bar being open all night is great especially when your flight is in the middle of the night. Oh did I mention it's right on the beach. | ||

| Hotel Herradura is a 2 star hotel. So don't expect top service or cleanliness, you get what you pay for! If you are sensitive to these issues stay away from it. Mixed guests stay at the hotel, from Russians to Cubans. Apart that, the hotel is sited literally 10 meters from the ocean and you are probably going to get a room with ocean view, which is a plus. Overall I enjoyed my stay and made some good Cuban friends. | ||

| This hotel is packed with Cubans! it has a fantastic location!! right on the beach. It's true that the stairs are made of wood, and there is not that much security in the room, but if you want a real cuban experience and lazy days on the beach, then this place is perfect. the breakfast is also much better than expected and is fresh fruit, french toast, american pancakes among other things. I just really enjoyed my stay here. (If you can cope with geckos on the walls!) | ||
