Ulsteinvik Vandrerhjem is located close to the sea in beautiful surroundings. The area is the centre for its region with about 24 000 inhabitants that enjoys a variation of culture- and recreational activities. Ulsteinvik has long maritime traditions and today the area has become a central developer in the Norwegian shipbuilding industry. The hostel is a great starting point for those who enjoy hiking, boat trips and fishing. Runde, Geiranger, Vestkapp and Ålesund are some of the interesting places that are in short distance from Ulsteinvik.

Ulsteinvik is a perfect location for trips to the bird island Runde (35 km from the hostel) and Ålesund (10 km and 20 minutes by boat from the hostel). The fabulous mountains of Sunnmøre is just a short drive away with spectacular hiking oportunities. Ulsteinvik is a perfect place to spend a night or more when driving along the coastal route of Norway. Location:	From Ålesund: Follow the signs to Sulesund/Måløy and take the ferry to Hareid. Follow the road to Ulsteinvik and you will see the hostel at your right side. >From Volda: Take the new road through Eiksund tunnel and follow the signs towards Ulsteinvik. In the roundabout close to Ulsteinvik keep to the right towards Hareid and stay on this road about 1 km. Ulsteinvik Vandrerhjem is located on your left side. Koordinater: E 62.341901° N 5.889208°
