Customer Reviews Tanners Hatch YHA

| The management could do better by putting the 'alternative' post code on the website!!!! The one on the website, if used in Google Maps or a GPS device will take you to a house in the woods. Wny not just put the alternative address clearly on the website to show the easiest point on a proper road to walk down to the hostel? Lots of people use online maps or GPS to find things nowadays! (Note that there is a path that links the house and the hostel, but the hostel manager didn't tell us!)
Otherwise, the hostel is fairly comfortable, very rustic and nicely tucked away in the woods. Its a bit cramped on a busy night though, but otherwise its peaceful and quiet. Might be a bit difficult to find in the dark though, so consider getting there before sundown even if it means waiting a while for the reception to open. | ||

| Beautiful setting off the beaten track, lovely heritage building.
No sign of security lockers or similar.
Cheap, with more than adequate facilities in most respects (so long as you don't mind the walk outside to loos, showers etc - fine in summer)

| A great place - but make sure that guests know exactly how far they will need to walk in with their luggage | ||
