| Very good night in HI youth Hostel. A 8persons room just for 3 of us !
2 negative points:not easy to find it by night (a small line on gensheng road )we need to go to train station to ask them to pick up /small breakfast | ||

| Great hostel - the owners really go out of there way to make you feel welcome. Felt more like a home-stay than a hostel. Also clean, comfortable, and well-located. Will definitely stay here again! | ||

| 1-On your reservation system I was suppposed to pay 522NT$ and ended up paying 550NT$(not much more, I know) because the front desk lady did not want to bother looking at the website. 2- I didn't know that a man was sleeping in our room until I came out of the shower. It would have been nice to know beforehand that this was a mixed accomodation. 3- The bathroom had a full wall that was a mirror window from which people outside could see us. There was only a small sign by the toilet reminding us to keep the blind down...4- When we turned off the light for the night, 2 lights stayed ON (40Watts or so). Hard to sleep! And finally, the Hostel was not advertised or indicated at all at the train station. All in all a very poor HI experience!! | ||

| Everything about the hostel was really good, except the location can be good or bad depending on what you want. It is a little bit far from the main city of Taitung, but also gives you a bit more of a quiet place because of that, so it just depends on what you want out of it. | ||
