Posada Casa Vieja is located 12km away from Merida city and a few minutes from hot springs, La Mucuy in the Sierra Nevada National Park and many others. Those are places you can visit on your own. From its tropical garden you have a wonderful view of the mountain, lots of flowers e.g orchid and birds e.g. humming birds. Public transportation every fifteen minutes to the city. Taxis or transfer services from the bus terminal or from airport can always be arranged
