The hostel is a centre for environmental studies and offers a comprehensive education programme about North Sea coast and mudflats. We also have a 50 square metre holiday apartment that can be booked by telephone
 
Tönning is situated on the Eider River, only a few miles from the North Sea and the Wattenmeer National Park. The Youth Hostel is a certified environmental study centre for the North Sea coast and offers a wide range of educational tours and events related to the mud flats environment.
