Located at an altitude of 600 metres at the mid stage of Maclehose Trail on Tai Mo Shan, Sze Lok Yuen Hostel is the youth hostel of the highest altitude in Hong Kong. Hostellers can try reaching the summit at 957m to admire sunrise and the sea of clouds and probably frost in severe winter. The nearby Wo Tong Kwong Viewing Point also delights hostellers with impressive sunset view and an overview of Shek Kong, Pat Heung, and Kam Tin. The local Chinese restaurants at Chuen Lung serving traditional Cantonese dim sum will be high on the agenda of gourmet travellers.

Directions
| Bus: | Take bus 51 from the bus stop under the footbridge on Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan (Tsuen Wan MTR Station exit A) and get off at the junction of Tai Mo Shan Road and Tsuen Kam Road. Walk along Tai Mo Shan Road (MacLehose Trail Stage 8) for about 45 minutes to the peak. Walk past a car park and turn right into the footpath to the hostel. |
