| There didn't appear to be much security to stop people walking from the street and onto any of the floors. I had several things go missing from the kitchen which is a pain, but can understand that's not the fault of the hostel and more to the types of people who are staying there. The cleaners had also binned a bag of items which included a credit voucher, which was not resolved as the hostel said that they would not have binned it if it wasn't in the bin…and I know full well it was left on a chair and everything was cleaned out as ! was the only 1 left in the room. | ||

| I stayed 5 nights at Yha Sydney , I felt so relax and comfortable and cooked at the hostel with all the cooking utensils , stove and gas ..which were provided by hostel ,the fridge was so big .. I bought 5 days foods from Manly ' Coles supermarket and grocery store , all the things was reasonable and cheap .... save a lot of money when you cooked at the hostel , since all facilities was provided by the hostel ... , You have to label all your food when putting in the fridge .
So train yourself to be " SMART & & PERFECT" in you own way... have a nice day in YHA SYDNEY

| This is a noisy city hostel, which is comfortable and has the necessary facilities. The pool is cold and tiny, but they do offer movies in the evening which is good. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful, and I was disturbed at around 1am on one occasion by 5 people checking into my room noisily. I think there should be a policy for no check in after a certain time. They then checked out at 5am so it was a very disturbed nights sleep. | ||

| The behavior of some guests is not the best. In the kitchen they don't care about nothing, they arrive with beer six or twelve packs of beer and get drunk. Nobody of the staff cares about that. | ||

| This hostel overcharged me for the long weekend.
I aksed why, cause I made my reservations already, the price should not go up, they lied to me now and again.
When I checked out, I asked the receptionist again the same question, a guy, he said,
it’s a long week-end here. So the price goes up. The hi hostel should update the price on the website for you.
So I made my complain to this website, then I got the information:
It is the hostels responsibility to ensure that prices on hihostels are accurate at all times not the responsibility of Hostelling International.
I have travelled around for many years, this is the first time I have heard about “the price will go up even you already made you reservation online long time ago, we will just ignore that”.
Thanks for all the confusions.

Noisy, you could hear everything from the corridors, doors awfully slamming.
Otherwise what you could expect from YHA hostel.
