Surahammar is beautifully located at Kolbäcksån river, part of Strömholm canal. The resort is part of the Eco-museum Bergslagen and showcases several historic industrial culture environments. The region was developed around the ironworks in the 1500s and works area belongs to the sights.

The hostel has many Surahammarsbor met the light of day because the house was formerly a hospital. The hostel is walking distance from downtown and offers accommodation in individual rooms.

For motorcycle enthusiasts is the largest motorcycle museum, a given place to go. There are, for example, Sweden's first car, which was manufactured in Surahammars Mill.
