With its good transport links and great location the town of Strehla is ideal for cycle tours, sightseeing in the town itself as well as trips to Dahlen Heath and the district capital of Riesa. The youth hostel is an old windmill right on the Elbe cycle route from Dresden to Hamburg.

People of 27 years or over pay a surcharge of €3 per night.

Surcharge for single and twin rooms p. p. p. n. (subject to availability): Single: €10 Twin: €4 (doesn’t apply to group guides);

Rebate for children: Up to 2 years free of charge, 3 – 13 years 30% rebate;

Group rebate: For a group of 20 paying customers another one totally free (accommodation, sheets and meals at the YH).
