Swimming, surfing, sailing – lost of water sports right outside the hostel! Stralsund Youth Hostel is situated in the Devin area and has its own beach on the sound. Cog builders, patricians and Swedes left their mark on Stralsund, once member of the Hanseatic League. The historic centre with its impressive old market square and North German brick gothic architecture bears witness to those ancient times and has been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO. The Ozeaneum aquarium and nautical museum offers insights into underwater habitats. HanseDom and Nature Park Gristow offer relaxation and fun. The island of Rügen can be reached easily via the new bridge. The area is also great for cycling and there is so much to discover!

Opening times (daily/weekly):	Our rooms are available from 15.00 hrs at the latest but you can check in from 10.00 hrs and leave your luggage here to explore Stralsund. Arrival until 19.00 hrs, if you arrive later please ring us in advance.

Bus:	A20 until exit Stralsund, then B96 direction Stralsund until exit Andershof / Devin; then Greifswalder Chaussee direction Stralsund-Zentrum (centre), after entering the town at the first junction turn right onto Deviner Weg and continue, it becomes Dorfstraße later, turn left onto Strandstraße.
Parking:	Free parking for cars and coaches.
Rail:	Stralsund Hauptbahnhof (central station) – from there take bus #3 to Devin. Train timetables at Deutsche Bahn - telephone (01805) 19449 or website www.bahn.de. Train information for cyclists provided by ADFC on www.adfc.de/bahn.
