Nature Reserve Stora Karlso rise from the sea like a mighty rock. The island is like a tree by its rings and talks about different periods and ages for the entire island. Here you will find interesting cultural history and antiquities from the Stone Age to the present.

The hostel at Stora Karlso designated 2003 as the year's hostel by members of the STF. The plant consists of various homes in the northern ports, Hien and Bergshyddan, right on the water. The hostel has laundry facilities and a toilet but no shower. Jetties in Hien and the northern ports.

Large Karlso is declared as of national interest and is the world's second-oldest natural protected area with rich bird life and its unique orchid meadows. Hit you go to meet a calm, a tranquility. The island has no permanent residents but many visitors choose to stay on the island.
