Stockholm archipelago's first hostel is located on the Great Kalholmen(Stora Kalholmen). The building is the only house on the island and was built as a summer home in 1914. Today it is a hostel for island drifter who wants tranquility and privacy.
At Large Kalholmen is no running water. But a sauna and unlocked doors. The hostel is small and is proud of himself on a cliff overlooking the water.
The island takes just under an hour to walk around and part of Hjälmö-Lådna nature reserve. On the island there are unlimited opportunities on the beautiful beaches, lovely walks and genuine archipelago experiences. Rent a canoe for the discovery of the archipelago.
