Enjoy your stay and have a beach in the middle of a UNESCO World Heritage Site: Southern Öland and close Large involvement to keep the special flora and fauna. Our French chef Jacky makes delicious meals with fresh ingredients.
At Stora Frögården we pride ourselves on the price "This year's Pillow in 2004" and 2009 we were nominated again. The STF which honors the hostel which was most appreciated by the guests during the year, and "Best Pillow" is the most prestigious of the six categories. We hope you enjoy your stay with us as good as other people do.
The hostel is a beautiful old wooden house with white trim next to the sea. We offer beautiful and individually decorated rooms ranging from one to six beds. Our five-and six-bed rooms has its own kitchen and sexbäddsrummen also has its very own terrace overlooking the sea. All rooms have toilets and most have their own shower.
There is also a nice Restaurant on Stora Frögården, whit different local and international disches. The restaurant is open May and September: Tuesday-Saturday. June-July-August: Thusday-Saturday Breakfast is served for an extra cost.
Here at Oland's a lot to see and discover. If you are interested in bird life are close to the bird sanctuary Beijershamn and for the wind surfing is the good wind at the Öland coast classed as one of the safest bathing places. Or why not take a trip through the island's fine art stores? Here it is teeming with beautiful and solid craft and it is very nice to take home as a souvenir.
After a day full of impressions, you walk down to the hostel's own beach and enjoy a bright red sunset over the Kalmar. Perhaps it suits you at the same time to take an evening stroll along the beach or perhaps a refreshing afternoon swim?

| Location: | Stora Frögården is just 10 km south of the Öland bridge. If coming by car, turn right directly after the bridge and take the coastal road from Färjestaden towards Mörbylånga. The signposts then direct you all the way to the hostel. Take the same exit as for Beijershamn/ Haga Park. If coming by train to Kalmar central, buses 103 or 105 from the bus station outside go directly to Stora Frö. You can also take the Silverlinjen bus from Stockholm. This stops at Träffpunkten, Öland’s tourist office, and from there, you can take a bus directly to Stora Frö. |

| Store Frø er et super dejligt vandrehjem, hyggelige værelser, dejligt veludstyret køkken og mulighed for at benytte fin restaurant. Åbenbart bor der også kun positive og interessante mennesker-i hvert tilfælde i de 3 dage, vi oplevede. | ||
