The hostel is located in Stenungsund at the tip of an isthmus in Hakefjorden with glorious views over Tjörn bridges.
Nestled in the oak forest and the sea very close to have the renovated children's colony was hostel since 1983. From here you can easily get around to the quaint fishing villages on Tjörn and Orust. Svartedalen nature reserve, three miles from the hostel, is a forested landscape rich in lakes and a popular destination with opportunities for fishing and long walks.
The hostel is a well known haunt for local windsurfers and the long, shallow bay just around the corner is excellent for beginners. The hostel has a mini golf course, volleyball court. Want to try your skills at kayaking, there are hiring and you can also rent a bike. Within a few miles away are golf courses.
