Visit the Paleis Het Loo palace or Kröller Müller Museum. You will find zoos aplenty here: Apenheul, Burger’s Zoo in Arnhem or the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk. Apeldoorn itself is worth a visit, too. In summer you can take a nostalgic steam train ride and a boat trip on the IJssel

| We felt that this Youth Hostel offered perhaps the worst value of all places visited on our trip. Our accommodations were expensive given the location and amenities while the staff consistently took advantage of us by providing misguiding at best advice. E.g. The staff told us that our only open dinner choice in Apeldoorn was their cafeteria when there were other more interesting (and less expensive) options within walking distance. As well, the staff told us that it would cost €10 per day to rent a bicycle, while the hostel was adjacent to a park apparently locally famous for free bicycle usage. At the end of the day we spent far more money in this remote location than in either Zurich or Cologne while having less fun. Topping things off, the staff at the front desk indicated that the Royal Palace was 20 minutes away by foot---while even at a brisk pace the journey took approximately an hour. Definitely a low point on our trip. | ||

| Please renew your website or confirmation email about how to get to your hostel by bus. The distance from the bus 7 stop to your hostel was not 100m. We just got lost by taking the bus 7. Thank you very much! | ||

| we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would reccomend the stayok to our friends, should they visit the region.we were in Apeldoorn to visit the magnificent velodrome for the duration of the track cycling world championships. Marvellous, thanks | ||
