'All The World' hostel in St Petersburg is one of the HI network of hostels in Russia and is one of nine HI hostels in St Petersburg. The hostel is centrally located, making it easy for guests to get out and explore the wondeful city of St Petersburg. The hostel is not only uniuqe by name - it is where the world-famous Russian ballet dancer and choreographer, Marius Petipa, lived.
Hostel "All The World" is situated in the historical center of St. Petersburg in Zagorodniy prospect that is five minutes walk from Nevsky Prospect. The nearest metro station is Vladimirskaya/Dostoevskaya. After leaving the metro you immediately appear at Vladimirsky Square and could feel the atmosphere of the ancient and modern St. Petersburg where both grace of antiquity and modern style of nowadays are placed. The main highlight of the Vladimirsky Square is the Vladimir Cathedral of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. It is one of the main existing temples in St. Petersburg after Kazan Cathedral that is the largest existing temple in the city center.
Hostel name "All The World" was not chosen without the reason. | It was good that they put an HI sign on the door of the building to let you know you're at the right building. There's no lockers in the room. Reception didn't ask if my friend and I were HI members, so they had to recalculate and refund the difference after we had paid. We also had a 200 ruble per person visa registration fee. (We traveled via ferry.) The oddest part was the staff told us the room we were in was female only. But the next day before we had checked out, they let a guy come into the room because he was staying at the hostel that night. (And I don't think the hostel was that full.) | ||

| This hostel is one of the best i have stayed at. very clean It is located near a metro station and shops are very handy and supermarket too. Watch for sign only on the door and then its up a dingy stairwell to 5th floor- not steep stairs. But definitely a very good hostel | ||

| It is a really nice hostel, worth staying. However, there was one big disadvantage. The hostel relocated us to another hostel on arrival for part of our stay, although we had a confirmed booking. The hostel, we were relocated by All The World, was not a lot worse. Dirty, no mattresses, horrible washing rooms and toilets (no toilet paper, among others). So, really not the place to be. Complaining to All The World ended in nothing. So, if you are lucky and you may stay in All the World Hostel, everything is fine. Cross your fingers, you are not relocated (according to Web, we were not the first to experience this mess) | ||
