Take R24 Johannesburg. Take the Durban/Kimberly off ramp and connect thereafter to M2 W Johannesburg. Take thereafter M1 South, direction Bloemfontein/Soweto. Take exit 7 (Booysen road) and keep left. Turn left at the second traffic-light (Mentz Street) and left at T-junction (Ophir Booysen Rd). Drive straight ahead, pass the FNB soccer stadium and then see signs leading you in to Soweto. Keep on driving straight ahead. Pass Engen petrol station and the Chicken Licken restaurant on your left. After going under the railway bridge, at the traffic light turn left into Carr Street. Take second right and second left. There is a mural-painting at the entrance of the backpacker and it is facing a park. |
