We have been exist since year 1963. Our hostel is nearby mountain, waterfall, onsen, forest, bus terminal and other facilities. We have many books for your reference to any mountain in Sounkyo. The most nearest hostel to Daisetsu mountain.
Sounkyo is in Daisetsuzan National Park of the center of Hokkaido. The YH is very convenient to access for trekking.The bus stop and ropeway station are near to the YH. You can enjoy trekking Mt.Kurodake (1984 m) about 3 hours around trip course and trekking Mt. Akadake(2027m) about 9 hours around course. Also you can enjoy Sounkyo valley cycling (We have rental cycles).
*Time table of bus： Asahikawa St.(①2:35pm, ②3:45pm, ③4:35pm, ④6:40pm) → Kamikawa St.(①4:00pm, ②5:10pm, ③6:00pm, ④8:05pm) → Sounkyo(①4:30pm, ②5:40pm,③6:30pm, ④8:35pm)
*If you order dinner, you should arrive at the YH by 6:30pm.

| This was one of the best, friendliest hostels i have ever stayed in. The staff were full of useful tips and advice about the area and provided lots of English information. The lounge area was very comfortable, complete with a massage chair and the evening meals for 1050 yen were delicious. Thank you very much! | ||
