Sleep at the foot of mighty mountains, down in the “Valley of 13 Stars”, where wine and Mediterranean fruit is grown and the jolly locals like to meet for a glass of wine. The capital of the Valais, Sitten (or Sion in French) regards itself as the centre of the world or at least the Alps. The modern, centrally located youth hostel is a sports and leisure centre, ideal for discovering the Valais region.

| Regular guests (adults - builders) were allowed to put a lot of alcohol in the "guest" fridge. (kitchen staff saw it and laughed with it). No wonder it wasn't quiet after 10 PM.
Staff was not friendly.
HI Sion was a huge dissapointment, the 10 other Swiss hostels I stayed in were a lot better! | ||

| lots of loud teenagers were making noise and being roudy. Reception was not friendly. HI Sion was a huge dissapointment after staying at the HI in Zermatt(which was amazing!!) | ||
