We are proud to be the best established youth hostel in town and the most recommended!Our hostel combines its splendid location with excellent services. It is an international meeting point for backpackers, individual budget travellers and groups.
The hostel is located in the heart of the historical centre, in Piata Mica ("Little Square"), the oldest and most romantic of Sibiu squares, in a 450 year old building with Renaissance style arcades, at the first floor above the Pharmacy Museum.
Piata Mica (The Little Square), where our hostel is located, lies within the second belt of the town fortifications. In medieval times, it was the place where market was held, and under the arcades of the old houses merchants offered their goods for sale. Today, under these arcades there are small cafes.
All of Sibiu's amenities (museums, the historical centre with its narrow crooked alleys and venerable old houses) as well as the best restaurants and pubs are at a stone's throw from our hostel. You can visit the Brukenthal Palace with its art gallery and library, the Ethnographic Museum "Franz Binder'', the Museum of History, the Museum of Natural History, the Pharmacy Museum.
The hostel saff will be able to introduce foreigners in Romanian culture and its myths and recomand you the best places to visit,in Sibiu and surroundings.

| Bus: | From Sibiu train or bus station: (a 15 minutes walk) Once outside, head for the church towers and walk uphill into the old city, less than 1 km. At the end of Avram-Iancu-Street, at the corner of Piata Mare, cut through the passage below the tower into Piata Mica. Stay on the right side for 100m. There is our hostel. |

| The hostel is excellent, the bathrooms & kitchen were impeccable even though it was running at full capacity (I was there during the ArtMania festival, as most other guests).
The staff was friendly and helpful, and very open to suggestions from my experiences from other hostels (this was the 11-th I visited in the past years, and this was my 2nd or 3rd best).
My only major suggestion would be for the American-style lockers, where you bring your own lock and can store even a mid-size tote. This would give you the best feeling of safety for your belongings (or, at least, to use the Italian method of demanding a deposit for the key, to prevent people losing them - it was annoying that most lockers could not be used because past guests had lost the keys).
Overall, a good stay, would recommend it & go again myself :) | ||
