To this place but no longer would the Russians have come. That was the idea when Siaröfortet was built after the First World War. These days the fort an island full of experiences and relaxation.
The hostel is located on the fabled cemetery in the middle of the fairway between Vaxholm and Furusund and is a paradise for playful and adventurous children and adults.
In the carefully renovated barracks dating from 1916 is the hostel fully equipped with a modern kitchen. You can bathe, fish or rent a boat or enjoy the wood-heated sauna by the water.
Every day, organized a guided tour in and around the old fort. For those staying several nights, the hostel is the perfect base for day trips to Ängsö National Saltkråkan, Fejan Arholma, Svartlöga and Rödlöga.
